Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion g6-2207tx Notebook. I read that you're facing display issues with the laptop. The display is bluish and pinkish transparent. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Do you see the Windows screen or not?
  • Did any hardware changes take place on the laptop recently?
  • Did any software changes or graphics driver updates happen?
  • Do you have an external monitor to connect to this laptop and check if there is a good display on the external monitor?

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
  • Power ON the laptop.

If the issue persists then please continue with the following steps:

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Power on the laptop and hit the f10 key repeatedly (7-8 times) to enter the BIOS of the laptop.
  • If the BIOS screen is bluish and pinkish then it indicates towards a hardware defect with the screen. In such a case I suggest you to contact our HP phone support to explore the service options for the laptop.

I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Feel free to let me know how it goes. Good luck! 🙂

There are THREE "primary" colours that are produced by your computer.

The colours work "additively".

For example, to get "white", you need 100% of each colour,

while to get "bluish" or "pinkish", you need 100% of two of the colours, with 0% of the third colour.

So, you have a "hardware" problem:

* the graphics adapter is not sending all three primary colours,

* the ribbon-cable between the motherboard and the screen is not transmitting all three colours,

* the screen is not properly processing the video-input.

This is nothing that you can fix by yourself -- take the laptop to a qualified computer technician, for professional trouble-shooting.
