HP HDX 16
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to fix the screen of a HDX 16 laptop because it has vertical white lines/rainbow lines on it. I attempted to try updating/reinstalling the drivers but nothing seems to work. In addition to resetting the bios but nothing happens. My thought it could be a lcd cable malfunction or some issue, so I want to attempt to replace it and see if that fixes the problem. However, I'm unsure which lcd cable is compatible with this model? I tried finding the exact lcd for this particular HP model (HDX 16) but I think its fairly rare or super expensive.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you tried to connect the external display and checked?

 

Does the vertical lines appear on the BIOS screen as well?

The product number is NK133AV, I've tried to search it on the HP website but it doesn't seem to recognize it. I got the product number from the label on the bottom of the laptop.

Yes I have tested with an external display monitor with an HDMI cable and it seems to work fine, the white lines disappear.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

 

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

 

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
