Hi vegas3416 - did you ever get a resolution to your original query? I'm trying to find an answer to the same question as well re two-finger navigation.

Thanks.

I just found this discussion after researching the same issue. I'm on a stock HP Pavillion (2018) and out of the box chrome doesnt support swipe gestures. It's driving me mad. So I installed an extension but the one that is available within chrome kind of sucks. I am flabbergasted that this is an issue. And the HP support suggestion that is given within this discussion (update drivers and reboot, turn to other windows or warranty will be voided) is insane.

my 2 cents

Good luck "fixing" your HP

Here is a link to Chrome extensions that might be usefull. I have tried several but most of them are kind of buggy. How the F HP bodged a trackpad is beyond me.

Two finger swipe forward and backward doesn't work on Firefor for me. Works perfectly well on Chrome browser. I checked all the settings and everything but failed for find any solution.

And HP support is useless they have been reported this issue by people since 2017 and they still reply with a standard response of updating and reinstalling and bios crap instead of coming up with a solution or least identifying the problem in 2 years.
