Hi, I just buy an HP laptop (255 G10). But when I tried to connect another device over type-c or usb socket, it says "doesnt support". Is there any way (any software, hardware or driver) to extend my display screen over type-c or usb. I think the problem is because on the dp alt mode is doesnt spport but I m not sure of course. Please help me immediately. I m a software engineer and just 1 extra screen over hdmi socket doesnt enough for me.

You can project your laptop to any WiFi enabled system such as TV or Monitor with WiFi adapter
Some TV are smart but others need a dongle such as ROKU or Microsoft.
This link here gives instructions on adding a laptop to desktop as a monitor or vice-versa using Wi-Fi
You can also get a USB2/3 adapter (not just a cable) to HDMI.
Always check reviews before buying.

Hi,
You have a HDMI port to connect external monitor.
The USB-C port on your machine is only for data transfer
"1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (Supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external
monitors)"

It is possible to attach monitor to USB, however you will need adapter with DisplaLink (which works like an external video card)
Example
Hope it helps,
David
