Hi im wondering if i can use display port 1.4 to type c cable to get display for my 2k resolution, 165 hz. can i also get g-sync support like this and get full capable of my monitor or should i use dp 1.4 to hdmi 2.1 converter to get full use ? can i get some proffessional tip please ?
Edit : my monitor has hdmi 2.0b so it can't be directly connected as hdmi to get full capable of monitor even tho my laptop has 2.1 hdmi

What is your Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-r0000 (76T03AV) machine ? It could have the following specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/ish_7878688-7878737-16
It has (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port; 5 Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port which supports Alt mode. You can use USB-C to DP adapter to get DP 1.4 specs for monitors.
It already has (1) HDMI 2.1 output port why you have to do a conversion from USB-C to DP then to HDMI ? That may not work(more middle men: you know what would go).
Regards.

No, cable or converter won't do that. Your monitor only suports HDMI 2.0b NOT HDMI 2.1, Using HDMI 2.1 input source WON'T force it to display as HDMI 2.1 specs.
Hope this makes sense.

Sir, i think i couldn't explain myself. Monitor has 1.4 displayport output so theoratically it has potential to give 2k and 165hz, but my laptop doesn't have dp port so i have to convert dp to type-c, if i do that can i get 2k 165hz with my usb-c port? And also i found out there is dp to hdmi converters and if i plug dp 1.4 output to monitor and convert it to hdmi 2.1 and plug to laptop could it work? My questioning is about this.
Shortly i will probably buy dp to type-c adapter but can i then get 2k 165hz does my usb-c port has capable to do this?
if it doesnt work this way can you suggest me any way as solution please? Thanks.

Why you need HDMI 2.1 from DP 1.4 converter when you only have a 2.0b monitor ? You need a new monitor which support HDMI 2.1 too.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards.
