spectre 360 15inch
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my laptop displays vertical lines. and some ghostings (images of icons or apps behind the open app.)

i deleted the intel uhd graphics 620 display driver and it eliminates my problem. however the nvidia driver is not accesible.

when i reboot, the microsoft display adapter installs in its place. when i run the intel driver support and assistant, under the graphics it reports for the INTEL UHD graphics 620 "A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer."

the HP support assistant updates the microsoft display adapter back to  INTEL UHD graphics 620. and the vertical lines reappear. this is not a hardware issue its a driver issue with  INTEL UHD graphics 620. i have tried to install the driver on HP support but it is the same driver  INTEL UHD graphics 620.  if i disable the intel uhd 620 , my display increases in size and response time is slow

Hi @giobytes

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try updating the computer using these steps -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you re-install the operating system. Please back-up the data and try these steps -

1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3) Press F11 once for System Recovery.
4) Choose the Keyboard Layout.
5) Click on Troubleshoot.
6) Go to Recovery Manager and click on System Recovery.
Note : Back-up all your data as System Recovery will delete everything that you had saved or installed on the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
