Hi.
I have a HP Probook 455 G2 laptop.
In Device Manager I see that there are two video cards:
AMD Radeon (TM) R6 Graphics
AMD Radeon (TM) R7 M260DX
Since I am having video problems, I would be interested to know why there are two cards. When is each of them in use? For example with Office, Internet, Autocad

Hi:
Your notebook came configured with dual AMD switchable graphics adapters.
Under low intensity video usage such as browsing the internet or checking e-mails and whatnot, the PC uses the R6 GPU.
But under a heavy graphics load such as when playing video games, or doing video editing and whatnot, the PC will automatically switch to the R7 M260DX GPU which is more powerful than the R6 GPU.
You may find this link for further information of help.

Hi:
They are not independent of each other.
Your notebook has dynamic switchable graphics which means the notebook decides which GPU to use at the time.
Some notebooks do have fixed switchable graphics where there is a BIOS setting to set one of the GPUs as the primary graphics adapter.
Your notebook does not have that option.

Hi There,
Your HP ProBook 455 G2 has two video cards because it uses switchable graphics—the AMD Radeon R6 is integrated and handles everyday tasks like browsing or using Office to save power, while the R7 M260DX is a dedicated GPU that activates for more demanding applications like AutoCAD or video streaming. If you’re experiencing video issues, it could be related to the switching not working correctly. You might want to update your graphics drivers or adjust settings in AMD Catalyst Control Center. Also, if you're testing video playback or want to check GPU performance, try visiting the official website and downloading loklok apk—a free streaming app where you can test video quality and playback stability.
Bundle Of Thanks!
