My webcam works fine with Skype and Webex and just as a camera, but it does not work with TechSmith's Snagit or Camtasia.  TechSmith products are looking for a USB connected camera as opposed to the built-in webcam.

@amohr0001

Sorry, but I don't have very good news for you ...

There is nothing we can do to force third-party products to work on your PC when they expect a hardware connection you do not have.

Thanks for replying.  The TechSmith help desk personnel have been trying to help me but their help mainly consists of asking me to try to update my webcam drivers.

One of the updates they had me do moved one of my camera devices from "Cameras" in Device Manager to "Imaging devices".  Is there a difference between Cameras the Imaging Devices?  I do have two webcams, but I'm not sure why.

I have a second HP (a bit newer) and their software works fine on that HP laptop.

Thank you.
