After a catastrophic situation on my laptop, I had the disk re formatted and a new operating system reloaded.

I am in the process of rebuilding.

Previously I had the laptop setup so that when I closed the lid, it remained running so I could use my external monitor.

Now when I close the lid, the laptop goes into a pause mode.

I know there is a place to set this up, but I can't find it.

Thank you

Jack

This assumes you're running W7.

Go to "Control Panel" and find "Power Options"

In the left column find "Choose what closing the lid does"

You will find what you need there.

Thanks very much, I knew I had seen that before, because that's how I was setup prior to the crash.

Best Regards
