Try these steps:
- Visit Device Manager:
- Right-click the Start button and choose Device Manager.
- Locate Display Adapters:
- Expand the Display adapters section.
- Update Drivers:
- Right-click your graphics driver (for example, NVIDIA or AMD) and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers. It will search for and install the latest drivers.
Adjust Power Settings:
- Open Power Options:
- Right-click the battery icon in the system tray and select Power Options.
- Change Plan Settings:
- Click on Change plan settings next to your selected power plan.
- Adjust Brightness Settings:
- Click on Change advanced power settings.
- Ensure the Display brightness is set to your desired level for both battery and plugged-in states.
Enable Adaptive Brightness (if applicable):
- Control Panel Access:
- Open Control Panel and go to Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
- Adaptive Brightness:
- Beside your plan, click on Change plan settings then Change advanced power settings.
- Under Display, look for Enable adaptive brightness and turn it On.
Check Windows Updates:
- Ensure your Windows 11 system is up-to-date by navigating to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and checking for updates.
BIOS Update:
- Check the HP Support site for your model (HP Support) to see if there's a BIOS update available that might address hardware compatibility issues.
Perform a System Reset:
- If the issue persists, consider performing a system reset to default settings, but make sure to back up your data first.
I hope this helps.
