Omnibook 7 with w11.

I can connect wirelessly to my LG tv and cast /mirror my omnibook but this will only work once ,after that i have to go into w11 settings remove the device and then add it again then it will work but for once only again.

Pretty sure the issue is with my laptop/W11  because I didnt have this problem with same tv on an Asus laptop running W11.

Thanks.

Doesnt your laptop and TV has HDMI port? Check it. If it has then you can get HDMI cable and connect both laptop and tv. It will be more stable and good quality. Let me know if can because you need to keep laptop plugged with hdmi

Yes I do have hdmi on omnibook and have used it with past laptops but I want  use WiFi like I did with Asus.

Then try uninstalling the Wi‑Fi driver from Device Manager, restart your laptop, and Windows will reinstall it automatically. Also, if your TV has a factory reset or clear cache option, use that. If not, turn the TV off, unplug the power, then press and hold the power button on the TV for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, turn it on, and try again

I did try updating the driver but windows said it was already running most up to date.So I'll try uninstall and follow the other instructions.I can't do it right now so will update when I can.

Thanks for your help much appreciated.

Tried your instructions but same result, just for clarity not using VPN.When it fails to connect I have to remove the device(tv) and after that restart tv. before i can connect. If i just remove device (TV)  and try to connect without restarting TV w11 doesnt detect it.

Then I don't know about this anymore. May someone else may help

To fix the one-time Miracast connection issue on your Windows 11 Omnibook, reinstall the "Wireless Display" optional feature, update your Wi-Fi and graphics drivers, and disable the power-saving feature on your wireless adapter.
Here is the step-by-step breakdown to fix the connection drop:

1. Reinstall the Wireless Display Feature
Windows 11 manages screen mirroring through an optional feature that occasionally glitches after updates.
  • Go to Settings > Apps > Optional features.
  • Search for Wireless Display in your installed features.
  • Click Uninstall.
  • Once uninstalled, click Add a feature, search for Wireless Display, select it, and click Install.
  • Restart your Omnibook.

2. Update Wi-Fi and Graphics Drivers
Intel or Realtek Wi-Fi/GPU drivers often miscommunicate with LG TVs after a single use.
  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Network adapters, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., Intel Wi-Fi 6E), and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
  • Do the same for your display adapters: Expand Display adapters, right-click your graphics card, and update the drivers.
  • Restart your PC.

3. Disable Power Saving on the Wi-Fi Adapter
Sometimes Windows cuts power to the Wi-Fi card after the first screen-sharing session, which prevents reconnecting.
  • In Device Manager, expand Network adapters.
  • Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and select Properties.
  • Go to the Power Management tab.
  • Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power, then click OK.

4. Remove Wi-Fi Direct Profiles
If the connection is cached incorrectly, removing the Wi-Fi Direct profile can help.
  • Press Windows Key + R, type cmd, and run it as an Administrator.
  • Run the command: netsh wlan delete profile name="[Your_LG_TV_Name]" (replace with the exact name of your TV).
  • Try casting again using Windows Key + K.
