Hi,

There is most likely a white list for your notebook and only certain wifi modules will be compatible with the notebook.

You need to get a module with the specific part number and used in HP notebook. On page 55 of service manual you can see the various wifi modules and their part numbers.

If you need a more "modern" wifi "card", you can use a USB Wifi dongle
