why does my z17 -ca100 laptop only have 1 antenna  ?  I should be able to upgrade a 2x2 wifi card but i only have 1 antenna in the computer

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you can upgrade the wireless card to 2x2.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

Have you opened the laptop and checked the available antennas?

 

Meanwhile, you can go ahead and install a 2x2 wireless card on the computer and it should work fine, however, you will not be able to get the benefits of dual antennas available on a 2x2 card.

main concern is why don't I have 2 antennas ? HP parts told me I could upgrade to the 2x2 but there is only 1 antenna . I didn't notice at the time I was getting a 1x1 and I must not have clicked the 2x2  .But still I should have 2 antennas . Now what  The 2x2 card is suppose to me much faster

You can leave one antenna disconnected and connect one antenna.
