HP9480m laptop .
I screwed up the wireless antenna connectors and the connections on the wifi card trying to hook them up after replacing the fan.
I bought a new wireless card .. The lap top had 2 pairs of antenna connectors. I am thinking one is WLAN and the other pair is WWAN.
To avoid installing a new antenna which I also purchased .. I connected the other pair of antenna connectors to the new wireless card and I have WIFI that operates the same way as the messed up connectors. Can someone explain this to me.
Categories offered were Windows 11 , Driver, Bluetooth or Realtek .. so none were it but I had to select 1.

Hi:
You are correct.
One pair was for the WLAN card, and the other pair was for the WWAN card.
They use the basically the same connectors, transceivers and are both mounted in the display.
Take a look at chapter 6, page 71 of the service manual for how the antenna wires are mounted.
HP EliteBook Folio 9480m Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide
I can't think of any reason why the WWAN antenna wires would not make a suitable substitute for the WWAN antenna wires.
The WWAN transceivers just seem to be mounted a bit lower on the display bezel is all.
Might affect the wireless reception slightly but that would be it.
