Omen 15-en0770ng
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

the Realtek Wi-Fi Card in my Omen 15 kept disconnecting while gaming, so i decided to replace it.

I ordered an Intel Wifi 6 AX210 (non vPro) card and installed it but no matter what i do, it doesn't show up in device manager. Bluetooth works though! I've tried clean-installing the drivers multiple times, reseating the card, resetting network adapters and pretty much every fix i could find online- nothing. Even did a fresh install of Windows 11 as well as Windows 10. Also did the hardware-test thing in the UEFI setup and it doesn't report any problems.

Interestingly, the same thing happens when i try to use the Intel 9260 i have in my desktop. Bluetooth works, Wi-Fi just doesn't show up in any shape or form. Both cards work just fine in my desktop!

Ist there some kind of whitelist in place for Wi-Fi Cards? Which card works except for the realtek one?

Hi:

Chapter 1 of the service manual shows two supported wifi cards...

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 + Bluetooth® 5 (non-vPro) (802.11ax 2 × 2, MU-MIMO, supporting gigabit file transfer
speeds)
Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac 2 × 2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5 (MU-MIMO supported

I have the HP 15-ee0047nr notebook with an AMD Ryzen 4500U processor, and this is the card that HP installed in my notebook from the factory...

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro    HP part # L35282-005.

I don't know why chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual does not list the wifi cards and part numbers like my notebook's service manual does, but I am pretty sure that would be the same card HP would have installed in your PC as well.

You can find the card on eBay.  Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

You can buy the card directly from HP, but it is pretty expensive.
