Google chromebook 

I am trying to pair a 240 bluetooth mouse it comes up on the chromebook and says pairing but then it comes up with a code and asks me to accept on both devices how do I do that on a mouse.

Please help

I Understand your concern, don’t worry let me help you with this. 

The HP 240 Bluetooth Mouse doesn’t have a screen or buttons to accept a code, so when your Chromebook shows a pairing code, you only need to confirm it on the Chromebook itself. The code is simply a way for the Chromebook to verify that it’s connecting to the correct device. Since the mouse can’t display or accept codes, you can safely click “Accept” or “Pair” on the Chromebook, and the mouse should connect automatically. 

 

it’s just that the Chromebook uses a generic Bluetooth pairing process that sometimes looks like it requires input from both devices, even when one of them (like your mouse) doesn’t have that capability. Once you accept on the Chromebook, you should be good to go.
