Dear Sirs
my laptop Compaq 6730s has s/n [Personal Information Removed] and p/n NA741ES#B1A.
The question is: has it a bluetooth adapter?
Thank you in advance
Sincerely

You're very welcome, Panos.
This is the only way you can get the bluetooth to work on W10...
Here's the problem...When the notebook had W7 installed, it either had the HP Wireless Assistant or the HP Connection Manager software installed.
Neither of those programs will run on W10.
When you upgraded the PC to W10, the Bluetooth radio must have been turned off in the Wireless Assistant or Connection manager.
You have to reinstall Windows 7.
Then you have to install the Wireless Assistant software, restart the PC, and use the software to turn on the Bluetooth.
This package contains the HP Wireless Assistant for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. The HP Wireless Assistant is a user application that provides a way to control the enablement of individual wireless devices (such as Bluetooth, WLAN, or WWAN devices) and that shows the state of the radios for these wireless devices.

Once you have turned on the bluetooth and see the bluetooth icon in the device manager, you should now uninstall the Wireless Assistant.
Restart the PC, and confirm the Bluetooth radio is still turned on and present in the device manager.
Then you can reinstall W10 and you will have bluetooth.
You can try installing the wireless assistant program on W10, and use it to turn on the bluetooth, then uninstall it but I am pretty sure when you go to install the program, it won't install on W10.

Hi:
Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to let you know that information.
When you enter the product number for your notebook in the box at the link below, it gives every possible part that could have come with the entire 6730s model series.
So, it shows that bluetooth came with the notebook.

I can tell you that if you are running W10, and there is no bluetooth icon in the device manager, that does not necessarily mean your notebook does not have bluetooth.
The easiest thing to do to tell if your notebook has built in bluetooth, would be to go into the BIOS find the bluetooth adapter setting and see if bluetooth is present and enabled.
If it is, then your notebook has bluetooth.
If bluetooth doesn't show up in the device manager, I will tell you why it doesn't, and what the only thing is you can do to fix it.
