Hello HP Support,
I recently purchased an HP Laptop 14-gr0002TU. After connecting my Bluetooth headphones (boAt Rockerz Summit), I noticed that the AVRCP Transport is missing from the Device Manager. Due to this, media control features (like play/pause/next) are not working properly.
I have updated all Bluetooth drivers and used HP Support Assistant, but the issue remains.
Kindly look into this issue and help with a solution.
Thank you.

@Pratiksha_07, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Great job already updating the Bluetooth drivers and using HP Support Assistant. The AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) Transport missing issue can affect Bluetooth media controls like play/pause/skip. Let’s fix this step-by-step.
Verify Bluetooth Support for AVRCP
Make sure your Bluetooth module and Windows version support AVRCP 1.4 or above (needed for headset control). Windows 10 and 11 usually do.
Press Win + R, type cmd, and run:
- bluetooth
If it shows AVRCP version: 1.6 (or similar), it's supported. If not, your driver may be limiting it.
Manually Reinstall Bluetooth Driver
- Open Device Manager > expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter (likely "Realtek Bluetooth" or "MediaTek Bluetooth Adapter") and click Uninstall device. Check "Delete the driver software" if available.
- Restart your PC. Windows will reinstall the default driver.
- If not reinstalled, download the latest Bluetooth driver for your model:
- Visit: HP 14-gr0002TU Drivers Page
- Select Windows 11/10 > Download the latest Bluetooth driver (Realtek or MediaTek).
- Install and reboot.
Check for Missing Services
- Go to Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices.
- Look under Sound, video and game controllers or System devices.
- If AVRCP Transport is missing:
Try pairing a different Bluetooth headset to check if the problem is specific to Rockerz Summit.
Re-pair Rockerz Summit:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices.
- Remove the headphones.
- Put them in pairing mode and re-pair.
Reinstall Audio Drivers
In Device Manager, under Sound, video and game controllers:
- Right-click on your audio device (Realtek/AMD/Intel Audio) > Uninstall > Restart.
- Then reinstall the correct audio driver from the same HP driver page.
Enable All Services for the Headphones
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on boAt Rockerz Summit > Properties.
- In the Services tab:
Make sure options like Remote Control, Audio Sink, Handsfree Telephony, etc., are checked. - Click OK and re-pair if needed.
Optional: Try Windows Bluetooth Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.
If All Else Fails:
Install the Windows Generic Bluetooth Adapter:
- In Device Manager, right-click Bluetooth adapter > Update Driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick.
- Choose Generic Bluetooth Adapter and see if AVRCP returns after a reboot.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
