HP EliteBook 655 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC IDS Base Model
Linux

I have one problem, the current Realtek 8852be wifi card works excellent with Win11, but on Linux, there are many problems with this card, and it cannot be configured to work, even if it is configured, I don't want to have to reinstall the drivers after every update, and reconfigure the system.

So I found an Intel AX210 wifi 6 card (used) from another hp laptop.

But before buying the card, I wanted to check if the card was even compatible with my laptop.

Edit1: I completely forgot to mention, although I had to install win11 and could use it for my work, I simply get used to Linux workflow and suits my need more. And I really want to get back to Linux, so the only solution I figured out Is to change the wifi adapter. Thus this question.

PS: I know how to change the card and that it is necessary to reinstall the entire system, be it, Linus or Win, so that is not a problem.

Hi:

I do not believe that the Intel AX210 will work in a notebook with an AMD processor and chipset.

Many forum members have tried that card in AMD notebooks and not one of them got it to work.

Also, it is not listed as a supported card in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual.

I recommend that you try this model which is the one HP installed in my 15-ee0047nr notebook which has an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor.  It should also work in yours too.
