Hey

I have hp ProBook 430 G2 with i5 4210U

Lately i've chenged my SSD drive and during the process i noticed that i have only one antenna cable so i cant actually get an AC dual band wieless adapter.

Just wandering if there's a way to add the second antenna cable for the 5GHz?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible. You will need to remove the bezel from the display panel and run an antenna along the edge around the screen. You will also need to remove the top cover of the notebook and service door. Look at page 45-47 and 70-74 of the service manual.

You will need to find Wifi antenna online or maybe local PC shop, as normally they come as one part together with the Display Rear Cover.

Example:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=wifi+antenna+probook+g2&_sacat=0

On page 21 of the service manual, you can see how they are situated in the display panel.

Service manual:

Hope it helps,

David
