If you wish to use an external drive (HDD or SSD), there are millions around and 99.99% of them are Plug and Play devices. They are much cheaper now. They are from Samsung, WD, Seagate ...
You also say that is for a game. Does it support external drive ? If NOT, you have to use internal drive: replace existing storage with a larger (capacity) drive.
