After formating wifi network icon missing

HP Mini 110-3000
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Dear sir,

I have HP Mini 110-3000 . As there was problem in my original pre-loaded operating system so i formated it and installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit operating system.

After formating it i am unable to see wireless network icon in my system tray instead there is another icon which is used to connect internet via LAN cable.

What is the problem?

Hi:

Go to the device manager and look at the list of devices there.

Is there a device listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller?

If so, that is the wireless card that needs the driver installed.

If you don't know what driver you need for the wireless card, please post the hardware ID for the device you see listed as a Network Controller.

To find the hardware ID, click on the Network Controller device.

Then click on the Details tab at the top of the Network Controller window.

Now you will see a Property drop down list, and it will be set to Device Description.

Drop down on that list, and select the 2nd item (Hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.
