My internet was working and now it is not. I have tried to update, uninstall/reinstall and all diagnostic programs for HP and Intel. I have no idea where to go from here.

You will probably have to use a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter if reinstalling windows doesn't resolve the problem which would be the least expensive and easiest thing to do.
You can't remove and replace the Wi-Fi adapter since it is an integral part of the motherboard.
Replacing the motherboard would be very expensive and who knows if the same thing wouldn't happen again?
