HP Notebook - 15-da0084nv
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello i would like to know what atheros or broadcom WLAN Mini PCIe card will work for the hp laptop 15 model da0084nv. In case you are wondering i need another wlan card for a hackintosh however it has to be atheros or broadcom as mac os or a hackintosh in this instance doesnt support intel, realtek, and Ralink wlan cards of any model as when macs were in the intel era they never shipped with intel, realtek or Ralink cards so there are no sources to make any working kexts for mac os.

Any help is very appreciated.

Hi:

First of all, your notebook uses a M.2 form factor Wi-Fi card, not a mini-PCIe form factor.

The only Broadcom M.2 Wi-Fi card that HP ever used in their notebooks was this one:

Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 M.2 Combo Adapter    HP part # 792608-005

You can probably find one on eBay. Search by the HP part number.

I don't know if it will work in your notebook, but hopefully it will.

You attach the single Wi-Fi antenna wire to the card's 'main' antenna terminal.

Below is the link to the service manual:

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

Here's a service video for how to properly remove and replace the M.2 Wi-Fi card:

Replace the Wireless Module | HP Notebook 15, HP 250 and 255 G7 Notebook PC | HP - YouTube

The antenna wire on a M.2 form factor card is extremely thin and delicate, so be careful.
