Have the W10 installation media in the PC.

Turn it on and tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the USB flash drive.

Press the Enter key, and the PC should boot from the USB flash drive.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try clean installing W10 by using the media creation tool at the link below.

You need to create the 64 bit installation media.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

The tool will allow you to make a bootable USB flash drive (you need an 8 GB USB flash drive for this).

The software will work with the W10 product key in the notebook's BIOS and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

Then you can install the drivers and available software from the notebook's support page.

If that doesn't work, there is probably some kind of hardware problem.

I tried that and it will not let me run it. Do you have any steps that I might try to get my  W10 tool to run? I tried everything and it will not run.

Thanks that finally worked. Now the only problem is my hp pavilion g6 loses its network adapter and I lose network. This is a constant battle every time there is an update.

You're very welcome.

Yes, certain model wifi adapters on the older notebooks simply do not work right with W10, and as the newer editions roll out, it gets worse.

What model wifi adapter does your notebook have?

What model g6 notebook do you have?   If it is a g6-22xx or 23xx, you may be able to upgrade the wifi adapter to a newer model depending on your notebook model.

Otherwise, the only suggestion I can offer would be to use an external USB wifi adapter.
