Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

Hp Pavillion Dv 3000 shuts down when i use Fn or F5. i work at night from my office and would love to see my keyboard. please help with step by step instructions

I've reviewed your post and also gone through the user guide for your device, here's what I found:

Backlight is only available on select models of DV3500, that said, If you've had backlight on the notebook but it isn't working anymore, try the below steps:

 

"Use Spacebar" : Turns the keyboard lights on and off when pressed in combination with the fn key (select models only).
