Hello. I have had an HP ENVY ah0xxx for 5 years. A few days ago, the message "The cmos checksum is invalid" appeared when starting the computer and in addition, it needs to be connected to the power cable because a cross appears over the battery logo that says "No battery detected."

I updated the BIOS and different protocols that the forum had set... and several users commented that it was finally because the useful life of the PC's battery had come to an end.

My intention is to CHANGE the battery on my own and in a few years buy another similar model of PC, since beyond this error the computer works quite well (at HP technical service they charge me €180 + VAT, which is 20 % of the price of the computer). That is why I would like to know before opening the computer board, WHAT battery model does the HP ENVY ah0xxx have and WHERE to buy it in Spain?

Thanks in advance

Hi @CarmenENVY_

the part number of the battery is as follows use that part number in an internet search engine to find a reseller.

Battery (4-cell, 53-WHr, 3.54-AHr, Li-ion, includes cable) L08496-855

Please note that the price of an original battery is approximately 100 euros.
