Unfortunately, it wouldn't.

 

It isn't the wifi card that is the problem. 

 

It is both the processor and graphics adapter running W10, that is the issue.

 

See the intel wireless display hardware specs at the link below, and you will see that none of your PC's hardware supports Intel wireless display under W10.

2nd generation Intel® Core™ i3/i5/i7 Mobile Processor (not supported with Windows® 10)

Intel® HD Graphics 3000 (mobile) (not supported with Windows 10)

Windows 10 (supported with select wireless adapters and Intel® 4th, 5th or 6th Generation CPU only)

 

If you must have Intel wireless display, you would have to install W7, W8, or W8.1

Hi:

 

Since your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any wifi card not listed in the 8460p's service manual, you have the best wifi card HP offered in that model series at the time.

 

You would need to purchase an external USB wifi adapter to get wireless AC speeds, for example.
