Hi

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-e000-notebook-pc-series/5355006/mode...

Do you have the discovery services running?

BthHFSrv

Enables wireless Bluetooth headsets to run on this computer. If this service is stopped or disabled, then Bluetooth headsets will not function properly with this machine.

bthserv

The Bluetooth service supports discovery and association of remote Bluetooth devices.  Stopping or disabling this service may cause already installed Bluetooth devices to fail to operate properly and prevent new devices from being discovered or associated.

WinKey + R   type in   services.msc

if in doubt please ask.

I could not find Bluetooth handsfree service (BthHFSrv) in service manager. I have following Bluetooth services enabled and started automatically.

Here is a snapshot of the device manager.

Please suggest further action.

Thanks.

Hi

As none of your piccies are being displayed, I am still guessing.

So it is a USB plugin?

And the USB 3.0 port has the correct drivers?

Then I guess it's back to the box it came in to look for an install disk/spec sheet to see if it's compatible with W7 or not.

Hi, @ricks117

For the USB device, try the latest W7 driver directly from Intel.

Download, unzip and run the setup application from the driver at the link below.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21129/USB-3-0-Driver-Intel-USB-3-0-eXtensible-Host-Control...

You have an incomplete install of the USB3 controllers.

You may want to consider updating the Ralink bluetooth driver to the latest version for W7...

This package contains the driver installation package for the MediaTek/Ralink Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Hi, @

Thanks for your valuable suggestions. I have no issue with USB. I am having trouble connecting my Bluetooth headset with my PC.

After installing the Railink Bluetooth driver (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70501-71000/sp70570.exe) my device is being able to connect to the PC. But while running any media (audio/video), no sound is coming from the Bluetooth device (headset).

In control panel --> manage audio devices--> I set the Bluetooth device as default, still I am not able to hear any sound from the headset.

Please suggest something. I have already spent around 3 hours troubleshooting this.

Thanks.

You're very welcome.

The unknown device you posted with the ID of IUSB3\ROOT_HUB30&VID_8086&PID_1E31&REV_0004&SID_1970103C, requires the Intel USB 3 driver I posted.

The ports may be working, but whatever that unknown USB device is, it needs that driver.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with why you are getting no audio out of the BT headset.
