HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Bluetooth device doesn't exist anymore. When I run Windows troubleshooter, it tells me that Bluetooth is not available on that device.

What I have tried:

1. Checked for windows updates and all is up-to-date

2. Checked for updates on HP support assistant, all up-to-date

3. Searched for Bluetooth driver in the Windows device manager, but it's not there

4. Installed Intel driver & support assistant to check for updates and all looks good

Info:

  • Windows 10 Pro Version 1909
  • OS build: 18363.476
  • Product number: W2K45UA#ABA

Thanks in advance for your help

@Khaled-Saad Peace be unto you! Since you would be contacting HP to talk to an agent to have the device repaired, they should resolve this issue as well, however, if you wish to troubleshoot the same, I suggest you try the below steps:

Let's start with the Hard Reset: (To release any excessive static causing the issue).

This method works for a variety of Driver connection and ‘stuck’ program issues.

  • Shut down the computer
  • Disconnect all external devices - everything.
  • Remove AC power and the battery
  • Press and hold power button for at least 30 seconds
  • Reconnect the AC power (only),
  • Power on > Login
  • Next time you shut down the system, reinstall battery and follow the below steps.

Hello Riddle,

Thank you for your reply and help.

My laptop battery is built-in, so it would be hard for me to remove. I guess I will stick to the support agent solution:-)

Best Regards,

Khaled

@Khaled-Saad Here's an article that illustrates how a  device with non-removable battery can be reset to release static electricity that may cause magnetic interference: click here for details.

That said, if you wish to contact the agent, instead, please do as they should be able to sort out both issues.

And have an awesome day, ahead.
