Hello HP Support,

I am facing a recurring Bluetooth issue on my HP Victus 15-fb0050AX (6F9V1PA) running Windows 11.

The laptop uses a MediaTek Bluetooth Adapter. Initially, the Bluetooth adapter started failing and Device Manager showed Code 43 – “Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.”

I updated the Bluetooth driver to the latest HP driver available for this device:

  • Driver: MediaTek Bluetooth Driver
  • Version: 1.3.17.168
  • Driver date: 22-01-2026

After installing the updated driver, Bluetooth started working normally, but the problem returned after some time. Now, when Bluetooth stops working, Device Manager shows:

“Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)”

The MediaTek Bluetooth Adapter remains listed in Device Manager, but Windows reports that the hardware is not connected. My Wi-Fi continues to work normally.

I have already tried updating/reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, including the latest 1.3.17.168 driver, but the issue keeps returning.

Could you please advise whether this is a known hardware/firmware issue with the MediaTek Bluetooth adapter/MT7921 on the Victus 15-fb0xxx series? Should I perform any specific hardware diagnostics, or does this require a hardware/service evaluation?

I would appreciate any guidance on the next appropriate step, as repeatedly reinstalling the driver only appears to provide a temporary fix.

Thank you.2277d858-7e64-49e7-821e-7c79128a1268.png
