Problem - Bluetooth stopped working and I downloaded (from HP driver-network) “Ralink Bluetooth software driver sp61613”.  After the download these 3 are in device manager under “Network adapters”:
Microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter
Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn wifi adapter
Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller

Under “Other devices” is “Bluetooth Controler”  with a note “the driver not installed (code 28). When I choose ‘update driver’ i get message ‘windows was unable to update driver’

Question: Which drivers must I download from the HP ‘Driver-network’ page (Probook450 G0) ? There are 20 listed  Thank you very much

Hi:

You installed the correct Ralink Bluetooth driver, so I don't know why it didn't work.

Here is a newer W7 version of the driver, which perhaps will work for you...

Thanks Paul,  appreciated. Downloaded your file SP70570 , restarted - Bluetooth icon shows bottom right but ‘show devices’ shows nothing and ‘add device’ (mobile next to pc bluetooth activated) finds nothing. I checked settings and looks okay. Here my device manager after downloading

You're very welcome.

According to your screenshot, everything appears to be normal, so unfortunately, I don't know why the Bluetooth isn't working.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to make sure your PC is discoverable so Bluetooth devices can find it.

You may want to review the information at the link below to make sure your settings are correct.

Good morning Paul. Thanks again for your valuable time. Made sure, its discoverable. Mobile and PC were all linked and show up on mobile but  PC 'show devices' and 'add devices' nothing.  Mobile hotspot of Android with PC works. Maybe its because I removed (right click delete/remove?) the already linked PC from hardware>devices  when the problem started - thought I remove/delete it and than reinstall/add - was obviously a mistake and all the problems started . Today's device manager .... Under Bluetooth radios > Ralink BT 4.0 adapter and under Network adaptors > Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn WiFi adapter. Tall order. peter
