Just upgrade my laptop to win10 pro. I cannot find the bluetooth icon on the device manager. Does my laptop have bluetooth?

I tried installing sp66402 that i found here but nothing. Can someone please help me out? Thank you in advance.

Hi:

Go into you notebook's BIOS settings and see if there is a Bluetooth adapter present and enabled.

If there isn't, then your notebook did not come with built in bluetooth and you would have to purchase a USB Bluetooth adapter.

If you do see a bluetooth device listed in the BIOS, then it was turned off by the HP connection manager in W7 when you did the upgrade to W10.

You can turn it back on by making a bootable Ubuntu installer from the link below.

https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop

Here is how to make the installer...

https://ubuntu.com/download/iot/installation-media

Boot from the installer, and select the option to 'Try Ubuntu without installing."

Turn on the Bluetooth in Ubuntu and shut down the PC.

Remove the Ubuntu installer and turn on the PC.

W10 should detect the Bluetooth device and install the driver for it.
