Solved!

Bluetooth headphones keep stuttering!

HP Recommended
Pavilion 15-dk0012ni / dk0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently got a new gaming laptop (HP Pavilion 15), and after using my Sony WH1000-XM3 headphones (also brand new, work perfectly on phone) for about 10 minutes the audio starts to stutter horribly, as if I was walking out of connection distance. This happens consistently. I just disconnect and reconnect and the audio is perfect again, but after about 10-15 mins the stuttering starts again

I've tried updating bluetooth drivers and changing settings for the headphones on the mobile app (Prefer stable connection) to no avail.

What else can I try?

This is very frustrating as even my old cr*ppy HP worked fine i.t.o. connection with the headphones

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the Bluetooth headphone audio.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Have you tested different Bluetooth headphones on the computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you uninstall the Bluetooth driver from device manager and then download and install it from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp103501-104000/sp103957.exe

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thank you very much! I feel rather dumb to be honest, as even after doing what I thought was updating the BT Driver, I found on the HP Assistant that it was in fact not installed, after I did that I haven't had any more problems!

Thank you for the help regardless! 🙂
