Help, Bluetooth is completely missing in Windows 10.  It's doesn't even show up in Device Manager with the "Show Hidden Devices" option enabled.  I even tried installing the driver directly from HP.  I checked the Services to make sure Bluetooth services were started and set to automatic.  Still does not work.  I know this laptop has Bluetooth because it was working fine in Windows 8/8.1.

Now it's gone and nothing I do gets it back.

Hi:

According to the product specs for your notebook, it does not come with built in bluetooth networking or that feature would have been included along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN Wireless connectivity specification.

To confirm this, I checked the parts list for your notebook below and it comes with a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bg/n 1x1 WiFi adapter.

That model wlan adapter absolutely is not a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

I feel like an idiot.  It had Bluetooth because of a dongle that was purchased seperately.

Don't feel bad.

Doesn't the adapter you bought work on W10 as well?

I am having the same issue.  How can I tell if my laptop had it originally before I upgraded to Windows 10?
