I have problems with the bluetooth on my PC, it doesn't recognize any type of device or card. I have a OMEN Gaming Laptop 16 - ap0xxx, that it supposedly comes with bluetooth, but when i wanted to turn it on, it doesn't have the option, and when i search for it in device managers it doesn't recognize any type of bluetooth neither unrecognized devices.

Hi @Hounzer

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand you are facing an issue Bluetooth stopped working after a Windows update on your HP OMEN, here's how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check if Bluetooth is Enabled

  • Press Windows + A to open the Action Center and look for the Bluetooth toggle.
  • If it's missing, the driver might not be working correctly.
  • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and ensure Bluetooth is turned on.

Run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Navigate to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Additional troubleshooters > Bluetooth > Run the troubleshooter.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

Verify Bluetooth in Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Bluetooth. Look for:
  • Bluetooth Adapter (e.g., Intel, Realtek, Qualcomm).
  • If there's a yellow triangle or it's missing, the driver may need reinstalling.
  • Right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select:
  • Enable device (if it's disabled).
  • Update driver > Search automatically for updated drivers.

Roll Back or Reinstall Bluetooth Drivers

  • In Device Manager, right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
  • Go to the Driver tab and choose:
  • Roll Back Driver (if available).
  • If not, choose Uninstall device > Check Delete the driver software for this device > Click Uninstall.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Check for Missing Windows Updates

  • Press Windows + I > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates and install all pending updates.
  • Some updates may include driver fixes.

Restart Bluetooth Services

  • Press Windows + R and type services.msc. Press Enter.
  • Locate the following services and ensure they are Running:
  • Bluetooth Support Service
  • Device Association Service
  • Device Install Service
  • If any are stopped, right-click the service and select Start.

Reset the Network

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  • Scroll down and select Network reset.
  • Follow the instructions and restart your computer.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
