HP Pavilion 15 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently upgraded my Wifi network adapter from a Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn wifi adapter to an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0. HP Part # 710661-001 as recommended on a previous post on HP support community.

The wifi works fine with a download speed matched to that of my hub. The problem I am having is with the Bluetooth part of the adapter. In device manager it comes up as unknown device ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_33A0, ACPI\INT33A0, *INT33A0
I have tried the Intel Driver and support utility as well as the HP support assistant. I have also tried the many solutions posted on this forum and other sites, none have worked.
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated

Hi:

That device isn't the Bluetooth.  You need this driver for that device...

This package provides the Intel Smart Connect Technology driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system. The Intel Smart Connect Technology driver enables the system to resume from sleep mode and update supported web applications such as email. The system enters sleep after the update is completed.

Is there a Bluetooth device manager category showing up in the device manager?

If not, see if masking Pin 51, and possibly also Pin 20 of the wifi card gets the Bluetooth to show up and work.

Many thanks for your advice.

Intel smart connect was already up to date.

Watched the YouTube video that you recommended and masked off pin 51. Very tricky to do but worked a treat.

Once again thank you
