HP Elitebook 845 G8
Microsoft Windows 11

Recently i got a HP ELITEBOOK 845 notebook pc. I searched for bluetooth and it says from device turn on bluetooth. I searched in Device Manager and coudn't find Bluetooth(even in hidden device). I ran HP pc hardware diagonstic windows and it says the Realtek  rtl8723be 802.11 bgn adapter works correctly. Is it possible that the bluetooth adapter got removed or any other hardware issues. Thanks in advance.

Someone replaced the much better Wi-Fi card your PC came with for the single band Realtek RTL8723be Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter which was used in much older and less expensive PCs.

The BIOS is probably rejecting the Bluetooth portion of the card and you're extremely lucky the Wi-Fi works at all.

Below is the link to the service manual which has the list of supported Wi-Fi adapters HP offered in the model series in chapter 3.

Maintenance and Service Guide

I suggest you replace the card with the Wi-Fi 6 card HP offered in the model series:

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 802.11ax (2 × 2) and Bluetooth 5    HP part # L35282-001

You should also be able to use part number L35282-005 if it is easier to find.

But as far as getting the RTL8723 Bluetooth to work, that isn't going to happen.

I can't believe that someone would short change you like that.
