HP ENVY x360 15 Convertible PC 15-eu1000 (4V9Q2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP laptop forgets it has Blutooth capabilities. I can't go into settings and turn it off/on, because it's not even there. This first happened 7-10 days ago. Internet searches showed many with same issue. Finally did something that reactivated my bluetooth after rebooting. I don't remember the exact steps. But yesterday when it dropped again and I couldn't find that same article, I just double clicked on the driver I had downloaded, restarted and voila it was there. No, wait, it just dropped. I did an update last night hoping that would help and same thing, it boots, it's there, it quickly disappears. Please Help!

Thank you!

Hi @JayPeeHawkey, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP ENVY x360 is playing a game of hide-and-seek 👀with its Bluetooth capabilities! Let's get that sorted out so you can enjoy a seamless connection without the disappearing act.

Here are a few steps to help you bring Bluetooth back to the party:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Bluetooth Driver:

  • Open Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Expand the Bluetooth section.
  • Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver. If not, you can download the latest driver from the HP Support website

Disable Power Management for Bluetooth:

  • Go back to Device Manager.
  • Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
  • Go to the Power Management tab.
  • Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
  • Click OK and restart your laptop.

Update Windows and Drivers:

  • Make sure your Windows 11 is up to date. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
  • Also, ensure all your drivers are up to date. You can use the HP Support Assistant to help with this.

Check for Bluetooth Conflicts:

  • Sometimes, other devices or software can interfere with Bluetooth. Try disconnecting other wireless devices and see if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day. 😇
