Hi:
If your SIM card is not connecting to mobile broadband, then your notebook is missing the required WWAN adapter that 90% of the 830 G6's don't come with since it is an expensive option.
In order for the SIM card to work, your notebook must have one of the following WWAN adapters present and working under the Network Adapters device manager category:
Intel XMM 7360 LTE-Advanced
Intel XMM 7560 LTE-Advanced
Intel XMM 7262 LTE-Advanced
I am sure that you will not find any of these adapters listed there.
