I have HP laptop (15-P254TX) shipped with Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter and this is the HW ID (PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&SUBSYS_2230103C&REV_01) and I updated the adapter to the latest version from Windows Update (I'm running Windows 10 version 1809 (OS build 17763.134), each time i try to switch between Wi-Fi networks the adapter getting closed and I press the Airplane mode button to get it back on again, after some searches I found that the problem through the driver even my work router stuck after I switch between Wi-Fi networks, meanwhile other laptops works fine, I don't know how to resolve this issue, and I didn't find specific driver for adapter works for Windows 7.
I'm running this version of driver now 7.35.352.0

Thank you for posting back.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 combo drive installed on the PC. You can check the below table for compatible wireless module:

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Firstly, let's perform Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8.
Next step, BIOS default:
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Next step, disabling power management from the device manager.
- Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand the entry. Right-click on the wireless adapter and choose Properties.
-
Select the Advanced tab and choose Power Management (Uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device options)
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello guys...
It seems that Windows 10 issue and not hardware-related issue, because my friend has the same Windows 10 build and faces the same symptoms.
But I have question, if I want to change the Wi-Fi card into another one (other than Broadcom) which is the best one and compatible with Windows 7 x64
Thanks in-advance
