My office laptop was upgraded from WIndows 8.1 to Windows 10 Pro and now my wifi adapter has a Red X on it in the Device Manager. I tried several Driver updates and none seem to work.
It is also disabled in the Network Connections area. I tried to enable it but it continues to show disabled.
Using the auto update method did not find any drivers.
This is the adapter with the Red X on it.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey everyone,
I asked my team at work this morning and they said this has happened on every laptop they've upgraded to Windows 10. They found that the WLAN Auto Config service is stopped and disabled.
I tried their suggestions and it resolved my issue.
Go to services.msc
Double Click "WLAN Auto Config"
Set to Automatic
Click Apply
Click Start
Click OK
Close "Services" window

Hi:
See if these W10 wifi and bluetooth drivers resolve the problem...
This package provides the Broadcom Wireless LAN drivers for supported notebook models running a supported operating system. Broadcom Wireless LAN drivers are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78001-78500/sp78044.exe
This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver for supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth Driver is required to enable Broadcom Bluetooth devices.

I installed both driver packages last night.
Now, the wireless adapter is showing enabled but it doesn't show any wireless networks. For a brief moment after the upgrade, I saw a message that it was connected to my home network. I can't find that anymore and it saiys that it no networks are available. I confirmed that the laptop does not have a wireless IP address.
The bluetooth adapter is now showing that it has connected to the system. It is listed properly in the Device Manager.
Thanks,
Kevin
