Hello HP Community, I trust this message finds you well. I am seeking urgent assistance regarding a persistent issue with the WiFi driver on my HP laptop. The situation has escalated to the point where I must resort to using a WiFi USB adapter to connect to the internet due to the built-in WiFi driver not working.
Attempts to connect to WiFi networks using the internal WiFi driver result in failure. Currently, I am using a WiFi USB adapter as a temporary solution to maintain internet connectivity.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. Your expertise is invaluable, and I appreciate any efforts to help me resolve this WiFi driver concern promptly.

Thanks Paul for the response. Any idea how to check wifi model number without opening the backpart of laptop? If there is no option to see the wifi model without opening it, I will open it & let you know the model number.

H:
Your notebook has a Ralink RT3290 Wi-Fi adapter.
Those do not work on the newer builds of W10.
The Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or both disappear from the device manager and there is no fix other than to use a USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter or replace the internal Ralink Wi-Fi card with this model, which fully works on W10:
Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter HP part #753077-001.
You should be able to find that model Wi-Fi card or Ebay or Ali Express. Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.
Your wifi antenna wire is on the wrong terminal as well, it should be attached to the #1 (Main) antenna terminal.
The Realtek card replacement only has one antenna terminal that supports both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so there is no mistake as to where you have to connect it to. 😊
As you can see, replacing the card is easy enough to do.
Just make sure you unplug the power adapter and remove the battery before working inside the notebook.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure in chapter 4.

You're very welcome.
That's exactly the card you need.
Windows 10 should automatically install the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers but if not, here are the links to the latest ones:
