Product: HP ProBook 6570b Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

So, I have no major issues with the machine - we get along swimmingly.

However, one wifi hot spot near my home seems to be right on the edge of "close enough". Reception is somewhat fleeting. I TOTALLY can't pick up anything usable in my basement where I hang out often.

I saw some DIY wifi attenas - simple to build - but where does one plug in such a thing. I think those machchines were desktops with external fittings and whatnot.

?? Can I improve my reception??
