I absolutely hate this realtek network adapter. Whatever driver I put in makes no difference. Finding out compatibility or getting actual usable help from HP, even while spending 2 hours looking in every direction, is like turning water into wine. I am hoping that i can just switch it out. Also, it appears that the ax210 is the latest best card, but many posts mention the ax200, so perhaps I am wrong. Anyway, any and all help would be greatly appreciated

Hi:
According to chapter 3 of the service manual, your notebook was supposed to come with an Intel AX200.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.22230 non-vPro HP part #L35282-005
You can find the above model wifi card on eBay.
Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.
While the AX210 may also work, I don't know of anyone that has installed one in that model series.
If you want to experiment with that card, make sure you get one with the following SPS number: M27269-005.
That is the non-vPro version.
There is a newer driver for the Realtek 8852 Wi-Fi adapter that is not listed on your notebook's support page:
