Please help me. I just reinstalled Windows 7 because my laptop was really slow. I got every driver but when I try to install the wireless network adapter from the HP drivers page (specifically sp56572.exe), it stops mid installation and I can't wirelessly access the internet.

My ethernet works, I'm running out of ideas on how to solve this. Hardware ID,

Hi:

You need this W7 driver for that model Wi-Fi adapter.

This is the 64 bit driver.

MediaTek (Ralink) 802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN Adapter Driver

Thanks for the reply, could you provide a 32 bit version or should I try the 64 bit one?

I'm the author but it seems that I have two accounts, sorry!

Please ignore my other reply.

I forgot to mention that I'm using 32-bit, could you provide a 32 bit driver? Thank you.

You're very welcome.

The 64 bit driver has both bit versions, so it should work.

I successfully installed it and confirmed the installation by going into Device Manager however it still says "No connections are available". Troubleshooting it asks me to use an ethernet cable.

I should add that Wireless Internet used to work before I reset my pc.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be to help you with why the wifi won't connect with the correct and latest driver installed.

I completely understand. If you were in my place, what would you do next? Just a vague pointer is fine.

This... is a bit embarassing to say the least lmao. The network key on my laptop was off the entire time. I never use laptops so completely missed it, turning it on solved it.

Thank you for your time and help. You are truly amazing for volunteering on these forums helping people. Wish you a happy life.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance, and happy to read that the fix was an easy one.
