Microsoft Edge denies access to Facebook and You Tube

I am using a desktop HP 260.a011 with Windows 10 Home 64 bit

Two days ago, my computer was able to log Facebook with Googles Chrome, suddenly the access is denied and the following message is displayed

ERR – CONNECTION – RESET

This sit can’t be reached

Windows defender antivirus did not find any virus.

After deleting all Caches and Cookies in Google it was uninstalled. Microsoft Edge now has become so to speak the provider. But still Microsoft Edge denied the access in Facebook and YouTube

I continue receiving email from Facebook but I cannot have access to their web.

How that problem can be solved

Hi @ll8,

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Jeet_Singh is at your service.

As I Understand you are having issues accessing Facebook and YouTube on your HP Desktop. Don't worry we'll work together to find a solution for you.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Could you provide me with the exact model of the PC? If you need help, please click here for instructions:

Have you tried to check if you are able to access Facebook and You Tube on another PC?

Have you tried to reset the browser?

Have you tried to create a New User account and check if that helps.

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Let's start off by clearing cookies, deleting temp files as well as resetting the browser.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you could try to use any other browser such as Firefox, Opera and check if that helps.

Alternatively, you can try to check if you are able to access Facebook and You tube on another PC

If you are able to access this on another PC, then I would suggest here is to Create a new user account and check if that helps.

Let me know how that pans out

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask any other queries as  well,

Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Hi @ll8,

As I understand you have a concern with the Facebook not working and there could be a possible issue with the WiFi connection blocking it. Don't worry we'll try to find a solution for this,

Just wanted to check if you have followed the suggested from the previous post and if you have, could you please respond to this post with the results of the troubleshooting for further assistance.

In the meantime, you could also try to log off from Facebook account on your phone and then wait for few minutes and then re-login it again (on phone). After a while when you are successfully logged in to your phone, I would suggest you restart the PC and then check if you are able to login to Facebook.

If you are still having issues with the Wifi connection blocking the access. I would personally suggest you contact your Internet Service provide and get further assistance.

I hope this information helps. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accepted Solution.

And click on the Purple Thumbs up icon at the bottom of my comment.
