Hi @jcgcbt ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing issues with the number lock functionality on your external Bluetooth numeric keypad, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  • Check Keyboard Batteries: Ensure that the batteries in your external Bluetooth numeric keypad are charged and properly inserted.
  • Restart Bluetooth Connection: Try disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth connection between your laptop and the numeric keypad. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
  • Update Drivers: Make sure that your laptop's Bluetooth drivers are up to date. You can usually do this through the Device Manager in Windows.
  • Check Keyboard Settings: Look for any specific settings related to the numeric keypad in your laptop's settings or control panel. Sometimes there are options to customize the behavior of external keyboards.
  • Test with Another Device: If possible, try connecting the Bluetooth numeric keypad to another device (e.g., another laptop or a smartphone) to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem lies with the keypad itself or with your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
