Hello Forum,

Hi:
Here is the link to the W7 ethernet driver you need...
This package provides the Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver that enables the Realtek Network Interface Card (NIC) Chip in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56680.exe
There is no information online regarding what model wifi adapter your notebook has, so please post the hardware ID for the device you see listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID. Then I will post the link to the W7 wifi driver you need.

Hi Paul,
thank you very much for your assistance!
Right now i'm on the laptop online.
LAN and WLAN working good.
My problem now is that i can not connect with windows update.
Clicking on the windows update link i got a dialogbox saying(in dutch):
"You can not search for updates because the windows update service is not active.
Possibly you have to restart your computer"
and, of course, i tried that several times but the message keep coming...
I just did run a troubleshoottool
It concluded:

You're very welcome.
The only suggestion I can offer for the windows update issue, is to read the info at the link below to see if that resolves the problem.

Hi again Paul,
thanks again for your help! 🙂
I finnaly found out what the solution was:
I had to do with a corruption of the windows updatefolder
Solution:
This behavior may occur if the temporary folder of Windows Update has been corrupted. We can refer to the following steps to rename this folder. Please be assured the folder will be created again when we visit the Windows Update site again.
1. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following command in the opened window.
net stop WuAuServ
2. Click Start, Run, type: %windir% and press Enter.
3. In the opened folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to SDold.
4. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter.
Please run the following command in the opened window.
net start WuAuServ

Have a nice day!
