Hi,
Today I did a clean install of Win10 Education and as a result now have a laptop lacking drivers. I downloaded most of em via https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-zbook-studio-x360-g5-convertible-workstation/200... and I got most of it working, however I am missing a driver to set up the wlan/wifi card. Right now my laptop does not give me the option to connect to wireless networks, and I am fairly certain that when I open Device Manager it is unlisted as well (as the names listed do not state they are for wlan/wifi). I already installed all of the drivers listed under Driver-Network on the linked page, but to no avail. Anyone that can help me? Thanks!

You're very welcome.
Here are all of the drivers you need for the ID's you posted...
Wifi: (not listed on your notebook's support page).
This package contains the drivers for the supported Intel Wireless LAN adapters. This package is provided for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82384.exe
ACPI\HPQ6001: (not listed on your notebook's support page)
This package provides the driver for the HP Wireless Button on supported models running a supported operating system. HP Wireless Button allows the physical (hardware) wireless radio button on the system to enable and disable the wireless connection on the system.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp81501-82000/sp81886.exe
ACPI\HPQ6007: (not listed on your notebook's support page)
This package provides the HP 3D Driveguard Software (HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection) for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The HP 3D Driveguard Software protects the hard drive by parking the heads if the notebook is accidentally dropped, or is abruptly impacted by another object.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp85001-85500/sp85435.exe
That would explain why you are having a tough time finding the drivers you need.
Don't forget to install the Intel Bluetooth driver listed on your notebook's support page.
The W10 bluetooth driver that W10 installs is a generic one and normally the BT will not work with just that driver.

Hi:
With the exception of the graphics driver, when devices need a driver, there is an Other Devices category in the device manager with a list of devices that have generic descriptions that Windows assigns them.
When the wifi adapter needs a driver, under the Other Devices category, there will be a device labeled as a Network Controller.
Since HP can install one of several wifi cards in their notebooks, the only way to pinpoint what wifi driver you need for the wifi device your notebook has (if you did not know its model beforehand), is to determine the model by looking up the hardware ID for the wifi device.
If you post the hardware ID for the Network Controller device you see listed under the Other Devices category in the device manager, I will post the link to the driver you need for it.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Hello Paul,
Thanks for your response. Under Other Devices, it indeed lists the Network Controller. It gives me 4 id's:
- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A370&SUBSYS_00348086&REV_10
- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A370&SUBSYS_00348086
- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A370&CC_028000
- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A370&CC_0280
Is this enough information?
Additionally, there are two other devices listed under Other Devices (no pun intended) with hardware id's:
1. ACPI\HPQ6001\2&DABA3FF&0
2. ACPI\HPQ6007\3&11583659&0
Could you help me identify those and give me a link for the corresponding drivers?
Thanks a lot! Regards
